Tyler McGregor

Vice President

Tyler has served on the IYHL Board since 2023, currently holding the role of Vice President. He leads the Coaching Committee, chairs the Discipline Committee, and is actively involved in developing the league’s skill-development curriculum.

Tyler and his wife, Ashley, are deeply engaged in the IYHL community. Ashley is a familiar and invaluable presence at league events, and together they have three boys in the 2015, 2017, and 2020 birth years.

The family moved to Granger in 2017 for Tyler’s career as a Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon with South Bend Orthopaedics, a longtime supporter and sponsor of IYHL teams. Tyler also serves as a team physician for the University of Notre Dame and provides care for students and student-athletes at Culver Military Academy.

A lifelong multi-sport athlete, Tyler is a strong advocate for athletic diversity and regularly emphasizes its benefits to IYHL families. He was fortunate to play Division I hockey at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, graduating in 2006. Following college, he spent time playing professionally in both the AHL and CHL before pursuing medical school.
