Part-Time Rovers

Part-Time Rovers Travel Hockey follows USA Hockey age classifications and offers teams at the 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U levels. We typically field 2 or 3 teams at the 8u level and one team at 10, 12 and 14u age levels. This is done to ensure placement in the best environment for development, competition, and having fun on the ice.

Tryouts take place in August at Back to Hockey Day. Practices begin in early September. House Games and Tournaments commence in early October, allowing players time to prepare for the season ahead.

House games and team practices are at our home rinks of the Ice Box and Compton Family Ice Arena depending on ice availability and league scheduling. Tournament participation is selected each season, locations vary from year to year.

Part-Time Rovers Travel Hockey offers a strong weekly development schedule with one team practice each week in addition to their House League practices. Goaltenders are also invited to an additional weekly goalie-specific session, providing focused instruction to support their development.

Each player is required to play in the IYHL House League to particpate in the Part-Time Rovers. The House League has one game a week on non-tournament weeks. Tournaments are scheduled after team formation .

Jerseys are not included in the registration fee. Families should plan for an additional cost of approximately $200, which covers two jersey sets.

To promote team and organizational unity, we highly encourage all players wear Navy helmets, gloves and pants (or shells).
